In a drug dealers house there are other drug dealers who are a part of the same gang in which they are preparing drugs for distributors.
DEWAYNE, who is the main character/ leader of drug gang, is present in this scene
DEWAYNE
Hurry up with this; we need to prepare more after this batch
JAMAL, who is a part of DEWAYNE’s gang is weighing the drugs
JAMAL
Don’t worry G! It will be done before tomorrow
MICHAEL
We’re gonna make so much paper, I’m gonna buy me a 1 series with this paper
DEWAYNE
Stop gassing yourself up, and work faster
JAMAL
You’re an ediat Michael, (laughs)
EXT. ESTATE/NEIGHBOURHOD
JAY, who is a member of DEWAYNE’s gang, is dealing drugs to clients.
JAY
You got the p?

JAY

Then rival gang member slowly approaching, approaches and bottles JAY
RIVAL GANG MEMBER (JOSEPH)

Where you goin? (Loudly)
JAY makes noise to show he in pain

JAY takes out drugs in packets, JOSEPH picks up drugs in packets in which runs off. Jay still in pain, slowly gets up.

INT. DEWAYNES YARD
JAY walks in slowly and doesn’t look DEWAYNE in the face
DEWAYNE
What’s wrong with you my g?
JAY
JOSEPH just robbed man with the gear
DEWAYNE
What? (Whilst spitting out drink)
JAY
He rushed me when I linked a dot
DEWAYNE
Bruv how could you let this happen (DEWAYNE is seen as panicking)
We’re fucked, you dickhead
JAY
I’m sorry
DEWYANE
I don’t care if you’re fucking sorry, you need to get my gear back or pay for it however you can
JAY
You know I can’t do that
DEWAYNE
I don’t care, put it this way, I am taking your life or the worth for my gear…

Research
Main character come out of prison. The main characters younger brother hides in the car boot to go visit his brother. The brothers friend kicks the younger brother out. He then left him in the middle of nowhere. This character is represented as heartless. Moving on, on the way back from prison the friend tries to convince the main character to work for him and sell drugs to earn money. We learn form this is that his friend doesn't care if he ends back in prison and shows no respect as the main characters little brother is seated at the back. The friend then crashes his car into another car and the owner of the other car wants £60 pound to fix the damage made but he refuses to give the sum demanded and gets into a argument.
Main drug dealer went prison and after coming out the people he 'put on' took over the distribution game and he's trying to get back his status. He raised a young boy after his mum died and the young boy is know the main distributor around the area they're located. The trailer builds up tension as every scene contains drugs,guns, prostitutes and money. This is a UK based film and it shows the audience how the youth of today are manipulated by such characters.
Main characters sell drugs to make a living and they don't care who they sell it to. At the start we see that the main character sold cocaine to an old lady. They have been in the game since collage. the main characters seem to take everything for a joke as they've moved up in the hierarchy they'll need to become more mature but the representation being created are that they don't care and are irresponsible.
MISE EN SCENE
MISE EN SCENE –
Setting
Locations – ESTATE/NEIGHBOURHOOD
The first image is a possible suggestion to what we can use
for the location of an estate/neighbourhood. This is an important and
appropriate location as there is a urban setting in which fits the genre of UK
Urban genre.
This screenshot above is a
possible suggestion to the neighbourhood in which the second scene should be filmed.
This is because again this fits the genre of UK Urban scene.
Location 2 – DEWAYNES YARD
For Dewayne’s house, we decided to use an urban setting in
which we scouting this location and looked the most urban setting so this will
fit the UK Urban setting.
Costume –
In this production there will be characters who will be
wearing casual clothing as they are young teens and casual clothing will fit
the genre of Uk Urban drama. Casual clothing will include tracksuits, jeans,
coats, sneakers/trainers.
Lighting –
One scene out of the three will be outdoors in which natural
lighting will be used and not additional lighting will be added to the scenes.
However two scenes will be in a door which is off the drug dealer’s house and
the drug leader’s house. The lighting that will be used in these scenes is top
lighting as the scenes will be lit all around so everything will be clearly
seen.
Props –
There will be props used in this production, one of which
will be flour as this will be used to show a cocaine drug in which the drug
dealers are dealing. Another prop that will be used is a glass bottle in which
will be used to act out a fight scene and to show how violence unfolds within
this production.
